She's Arrived!

Lilah Amaris Denham

born Tuesday July 24

4:15am

6 lbs 8 oz

19 inches

Sao Jose dos Campos, Brazil

I stayed home during the labor and arrived at the hospital 15 minutes before Lilah was born. There was no time for an epidural so it was a natural birth!! She is a healthy, calm, beautiful baby and we are praising the Lord for her safe arrival.

My mother arrived just 4 hours later and we had our neighbor pick her up and bring her straight to the hospital. Of all the days to book a ticket to fly down, she chose Lilah's actual birthday! My hospital experience went extremely well. The nurses, the care, even the food was top notch. An overall wonderful experience and we have much to be thankful for. God has been so good to us. Thank you for your prayers.

Happy Birthday Rick!

We celebrated Rick's birthday at the ministry's office last week. Tiago- Fiel's manager, and Edvanio-Fiel's graphic designer, had birthdays as well. So us wives decided it would be easier if we had a party together and shared the fun and the work load. I made the ice cream cakes and they were a hit! So easy to make too! Unfortunately, I was only able to take two photos before my camera battery died. Better planning next time!

Festa Juninha

Festa Juninha is a hillbilly party that takes during the month of June. Originally meant to celebrate the first crops of the season and to give thanks to the saints, it has now become an event much like a county fair. James' preschool sponsered a festa juniha 2 weeks ago. I ran down to our Wal-Mart (yes, we have a Wal-Mart but it's not the same) and picked out a costume for him to wear. He even let me draw on his face with eyeliner. We arrived at the farm out in the country and they had several things happpening. Some of the kids were doing a dance they learned in school, there were games for the kids to play and of course, typical country food was being sold. Not to mention, they had Brazilian folk music playing on loud speakers. It was a neat experience and James had a blast.
Ahh! For some reason, Blogger is not letting me post the other photos. I will try again later!
